Delivering an inspiring Convocation Address at the 2nd Convocation of Adani University, Savi S Soin, President of Qualcomm India, called upon graduating students to embrace innovation, adaptability and global thinking as India accelerates its rise as a technological powerhouse.
“As India accelerates its leadership in semiconductors, AI, mobility and digital infrastructure, the partnership between industry and academia becomes more vital than ever,” Soin said, emphasising that graduates must lead—not just participate in—the country’s transformation. He noted that Adani University’s multidisciplinary education equips students with the mindset and capability to address India’s real-world challenges with future-ready solutions.
Soin urged students to embrace continuous learning, systems thinking, ethical leadership and sustainability awareness—skills he described as “essential for building a modern, resilient India.”
Dr Priti Adani’s Clarion Call: “Build Better, Build with Purpose”
Presiding over the ceremony, Dr Priti G Adani, President of Adani University and Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, delivered a powerful address urging students to shape India’s rise with integrity, innovation and a deep sense of responsibility.
She highlighted that India’s infrastructure and development landscape is undergoing a transformative shift—driven by digitalisation, sustainability and human-centric design.
“Beyond connectivity and convenience lies a more demanding responsibility – that we create systems which allow people to benefit from improved health, safety and opportunity. Progress will no longer be measured only by speed, scale or efficiency but also by how well our citizens live,” she said, adding that the next era of infrastructure “is not about building more; it is about building better.”
Drawing from the depth of India’s civilisational heritage, she reminded graduates:
“You are inheritors of a civilisation that has imagined deeply, built boldly and led morally. Carry that legacy into your careers — not as nostalgia or history, but as a responsibility.”
Dr Adani encouraged students to embrace interdisciplinary learning, application-driven research and ethical innovation—hallmarks of leaders who will shape India’s development story. She also reiterated the university’s plans for a futuristic campus that will enhance research, collaboration and industry-led learning.
