MUMBAI, APRIL 2
With the Indian education system going through a phase of uncertainty in the wake of Covid-19, LEAD School is offering its LEAD School@Home solution to all English-medium schools around the country to help them start their new academic year in April. Over one lakh students in the existing partner schools of LEAD have already commenced their new academic year on Thursday, April 2, a company release said.
With LEAD School@Home, students can attend classes from the safety of their home, through their parents’ phone or computer. Students from Class 1 to Class 9 can attend these classes. Even pre-primary parents can avail of LEAD School@Home to keep their toddlers engaged and learning.
Sumeet Mehta, Co-founder, and CEO, LEAD School said, “Schools and parents have been worried about the long break and its impact on the learning of their children. Our learning system and technology ensured that if children can’t come to school, we can take the school to children’s home! Now any school can begin its academic year with LEAD School@Home. All they need is to register on the LEAD School portal and our team will help them quickly get started. Schools can choose to begin their academic year on any one of 3 dates: April 2, 6 or 13. For parents and students, it is easy because they just need the LEAD Parent App to access all their classes, homework and assessments. It is almost as if the child is attending school from home.”
LEAD School had opened its LEAD School@Home solution for all 800 of its partner schools in Mid-March itself. This exercise helped students finish their syllabus for the last academic year online after state governments across the country announced school closures amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Now, not only these partner schools but also other schools can begin their new academic year through LEAD School@Home.
While it will be a challenge for parents and teachers both initially to begin the new year online, LEAD School aims to smoothen the process. Once schools sign-up for this programme, their students can start attending these live online classes in two days, the release added.
Besides, schools registering for LEAD School@Home will have easy access to the timetable, digital content and digital workbooks, and will also be able to oversee live classes and on-demand content.
The LEAD School Parent App provides students with the homework and assessments, while also keeping parents informed of their child’s progress.
