The Institute for Sustainable Development, Research and Reforms (ISDRR), in collaboration with Envision Energy India and the District Administration, Amreli, has launched Project Jeevan Setu – A Bridge to Better Health and Wellbeing at the Taluka Panchayat premises in Babra, Amreli district.

The initiative aims to strengthen health, nutrition, education, sanitation, and community empowerment across Babra block and surrounding villages, working closely with the ICDS, Health, Education, and Panchayati Raj departments. Aligned with the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025, the program focuses on combating malnutrition and fostering holistic child development.
Key Initiatives Under Project Jeevan Setu
- Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE): Enhanced learning and nutrition programs at Anganwadi centres.
- School Health & Hygiene Campaigns: Promoting lifelong healthy habits among children.
- Anaemia Prevention: Nutrition education and iron-folic acid supplementation drives.
- Women’s Health Camps: Screenings for hypertension, diabetes, breast cancer, and cervical cancer.
- Balanced Diet Promotion: Local food-based exhibitions to encourage nutrition awareness.
- Community-Led Sanitation Drives: Active participation in cleanliness and hygiene campaigns.

As part of the initiative, Envision Energy India, now completing nine years of operations in India, announced the adoption of 99 Anganwadi centres across Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. This falls under the company’s wider CSR framework, spanning Education & Skill Development, Health & Nutrition, Sanitation, Environment, and Heritage Preservation, aligned with India’s Net Zero and decarbonization goals.
Launch Event Highlights
The program began with a Nutrition Gallery Walk showcasing locally prepared healthy foods. Women leaders in nutrition were felicitated, and local government representatives underscored the importance of collective action in tackling malnutrition and uplifting community health outcomes.
With its multi-sectoral approach, Project Jeevan Setu seeks to serve as a model of integrated community health and wellbeing that can be replicated across rural India.
