Equitas Small Finance Bank and Mangal Tirth Trust released the coffee table book Revival of Temple Dance, Vasant Utsav -A Celebration of Dance, in association with The Saraswati Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust on Friday, September 9 here.
The book is authored by Dr CK Gariyali IAS and Priyadarshini Rajkumar. The Book captures the magical journey over two decades of the Vasant Utsav Festival of dance. The Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust has been conducting the Vasant Utsav Festival of Dance commencing on the 1st of May each year at Kapaleeswarar Temple, Mylapore, Chennai since 2006. The festival of dance is conducted for 10 days and showcases the various classical dance forms of India.

Over the years the festival has showcased performance by stalwarts such as Padma Vibhushan Sonal Mansingh and Padma Bhushan Dr Padma Subramaniam and has awarded world renowned performing artists and Vedic scholars for their contribution to the preservation and promotion of Indian Culture and heritage. This festival is one of the core cultural activities of the trust and is dedicated to the promotion of Vedic heritage and Indian art and Culture.

The book was unveiled by CC Parthipan, Chairman Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd, in the august presence of SR Gandhi IRPFS, Director Art and Culture Dept, Govt of TN), PN Vasudevan, MD and CEO Equitas Small Finance Bank, Kalaimamani Roja Kannan- Bharatanatyam exponent and President of ABHAI, will receive the first Kalaimamani Sailaja (Kuchipudi exponent), Binesh Mahadevan (Bharatanatyam exponent) and Prabal Gupta (Kathakali exponent).
