Erode Mayor Nagarathinam on Sunday evening inaugurated ‘Sivanga Thembu’ program which received widespread critical acclaim for its immersive experience of Shiva’s devotion, featuring bhajans and a yatra.
The event was organized by Kailaya Bhakti Peravai. The Chief Guests included Dhanabagyam, President of Sudha Hospitals, Auditor Ravindran, Gowri Ravindran, and Sivashankaran, Founder of Oasis Institute of Hotel Management.

A multitude of Isha volunteers and individuals from the community took part in the gathering held at Maheshwari Mahal on Sati Main Road. The event commenced with a splendid Linga Bhairavi Devi Divya Puja, followed by a soulful bhajan featuring musical renditions of various names of Shiva. Subsequently, the venerable classical instrument Kailaya Vathiyam was skillfully played, creating a captivating fusion of melodious tunes and potent mantra chants that captivated the attendees.
The Kailaya Bhakti Peravai, located in Coimbatore, is a spiritual organization actively engaged in endeavours such as organizing pilgrimages to Velliangiri hill, undertaking cleanliness initiatives on the hill, and participating in agricultural activities at ancient temples across different districts of Tamil Nadu. Additionally, the organization runs a program named ‘Sivanga Thembu,’ aiming to introduce a sense of devotion to individuals who predominantly approach life from a logical standpoint. This program involves the practice of bhajans and devotional activities to provide participants with a taste of spiritual connection.
