AHMEDABAD, NOV 8
Having created a strong network of Hindutva cadres by gaining the support of major religious heads in the Hindutva Lab of the country, Gujarat, over a period of six years since 2016, former IPS officer DG Vanzara, who was once known as an encounter specialist, has announced the launch of his political outfit ‘Praja Vijay Paksha’. This fledgling party will contest the upcoming assembly elections from all 182 seats to bring about theocracy, democracy coupled with clean and efficient administration.
Speaking with media here on Tuesday, Vanzara claimed Praja Vijay Paksha will always be ahead of BJP in adopting Hindutva in letter and spirit. With the launch of Praja Vijay Paksha, a new dawn awaits Gujarat, he added.
In a scathing attack, targeting both the ruling BJP and the main opposition Congress, the former police officer Vanzara said that after Gujarat came into existence in 1960, it was ruled by Congress for many years, now BJP has been ruling it for 27 years.
“If only one party remains in power for a long time, then it will lead to corruption and hegemonism. Absolute power corrupts absolutely holds true. Earlier this situation was created during the reign of Congress and now this situation is being applicable for BJP. Therefore, to bring about theocracy, democracy coupled with clean and efficient administration in Gujarat, Praja Vijay Paksha will contest all the 182 seats,” DG Vanzara said.
Vanzara also said, “For the last 27 years, BJP is ruling Gujarat. People are fed up with large scale corruption, unemployment and now longing to bring about the much-needed change. Hence, Praja Vijay Paksha is the real alternative to BJP, the fountainhead of corruption and inefficiency. Aam Admi Party is nowhere in the picture in Gujarat. There is a difference between our Praja Vijay Paksha and BJP. Despite being a Hindutva party, BJP believes in being around power while Praja Vijay Paksha believes in theocracy, democracy coupled with clean and efficient administration.”
Earlier on May 13, former IPS DG Vanzara tweeted that a new political option is going to emerge in Gujarat, which will win in December 2022 and establish dharmasatta along with Rajsatta. Religious powers are active in Muslim, Christian and Jewish countries along with monarchies.
DG Vanzara said that he had spent nine years in jail on charges of conducting a series of extrajudicial killings. The cases he was involved in include that of Ishrat Jahan, Tulsi Prajapati and Sohrabbudin Sheikh among others.
He was acquitted in the Sohrabbudin case In 2017 and in the Ishrat Jahan case in 2019.
In the recent past, DG Vanzara has appeared at a number of religious meetings.
