As part of Exercise NCC Yogdan, 36 cadets, four ANOs and three Permanent Instructors have been deployed at Valsad town under Lieutenant Commander Vishal Nair for helping the Civil Administration in the fight against COVID-19. They have been deployed at 11 locations and have been undertaking the task of queue management at banks and provision stores, a Defence spokesman said here on Saturday.

In Ahmedabad, 27 Girl cadets, four ANOs and seven Permanent Instructors have been deployed under Col Damodaran at Sola, Sabarmati, Naroda, and Odhav. 41 cadets at Ahmedabad have been kept as a standby after training to be deployed at short notice. 16 cadets have also been deployed at the State Capital Gandhinagar.

To date, the total deployment of NCC personnel under the NCC Gujarat Directorate in the various towns is 840 which includes 684 volunteer cadets, 60 ANOs, 85 Permanent Instructors, 02 GCI and 09 officers. 22 NCC units are involved in the deployment process, the spokesman added.

All Cadets undergo detailed training before deployment. They are briefed about the importance of all COVID-19 precautions, do’s and don’ts, handling and usage of various protective equipment and need of Arogya app. The cadets are also briefed on the process of decontamination after they reach back home. The response from cadets and their parents has been encouraging. The cadets are performing their tasks with high motivation and a lot of enthusiasm.

NCCના કેડેટ્સે વલસાડ, અમદાવાદ અને ગાંધીનગરમાં વધુ પગદંડો જમાવ્યો
NCC યોગદાન કવાયતના ભાગરૂપે, વલસાડમાં કોવિડ-19 સામેની લડાઇમાં નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રની મદદ માટે 36 કેટેડ્સ, 04 ANO અને 03 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટરને લેફ્ટેનન્ટ વિશાલ નાયરના નેતૃત્વમાં નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. તેમને 11 સ્થળે તૈનાત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે અને તેઓ બેંકો તેમજ કરિયાણાની દુકાનો પર કતાર વ્યવસ્થાપનની કામગીરી કરી રહ્યા છે.

અમદાવાદમાં, 27 ગર્લ કેડેટ્સ, 04 ANO અને 07 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટરને કર્નલ દામોદરનના નેતૃત્વમાં સોલા, સાબરમતી, નરોડા અને ઓઢવ ખાતે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. અમદાવાદ ખાતે 41 કેડેટ્સને તાલીમ આપ્યા પછી સ્ટેન્ડબાય રાખવામાં આવ્યા છે અને ટૂંકી નોટિસ પછી તેમની નિયુક્તિ કરવામાં આવશે. 16 કેડેટ્સને ગાંધીનગરમાં નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.

અત્યાર સુધીમાં ગુજરાત ડાયરેક્ટોરેટ હેઠળ વિવિધ શહેરોમાં કુલ 840 NCC પર્સનલની નિયુક્તિ કરવામાં આવી છે જેમાં 684 સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સ, 60 ANO અને 85 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટર, 02 GCI અને 09 અધિકારીઓ સામેલ છે. 22 NCC યુનિટ્સ આ નિયુક્તિ પ્રક્રિયામાં સંકળાયેલા છે.

તમામ કેડેટ્સને નિયુક્તિ પહેલાં વિગતવાર તાલીમ આપવામાં આવે છે. તેમને કોવિડ-19માં રાખવાની તકેદારી અંગે માહિતી આપવામાં આવે છે અને ‘આટલું કરવું’ તેમજ ‘આટલું ન કરવું’, વિવિધ સુરક્ષાત્મક ઉપકરણો કેવી રીતે રાખવા અને કેવી રીતે ઉપયોગમાં લેવા, તેમજ આરોગ્ય સેતૂ એપ્લિકેશનના ઉપયોગ વિશે પણ તેમને માહિતી આપવામાં આવે છે. કેડેટ્સને તેઓ ઘરે પરત ફરે ત્યારે જીવાણુંમુક્ત કેવી રીતે થવું તેની પ્રક્રિયા પણ સમજાવવામાં આવે છે. કેડેટ્સ અને તેમના માતાપિતા તરફથી પ્રોત્સાહનજનક પ્રતિભાવ મળી રહ્યો છે. કેડેટ્સ ખૂબ જ પ્રેરણા અને ઉત્સાહ સાથે તેમની સેવા આપી રહ્યા છે.
