India’s combat readiness is set to reach new heights as the Indian Navy, in collaboration with the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, launches the Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025) “Trishul” in early November 2025. The large-scale, high-intensity exercise will unfold across the creek and desert sectors of Rajasthan and Gujarat, extending deep into the northern Arabian Sea, marking one of the most comprehensive demonstrations of joint military power in recent years.
Spearheaded by the Headquarters Western Naval Command, the exercise aims to validate and synchronise joint operational procedures across all domains—land, sea, air, cyber, and space—ensuring full-spectrum interoperability among India’s armed forces. Key formations participating include the Army’s Southern Command, the Western Naval Command, and the South Western Air Command, alongside significant participation from the Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force, and several central agencies, underlining India’s unified defence architecture.
The core focus of Exercise Trishul lies in strengthening jointness and integrated warfighting capabilities, validating multi-domain operations that involve massive deployments of Navy warships, Air Force fighter and support aircraft, and Army amphibious contingents. Notably, the operations will include amphibious landings supported by the INS Jalashwa and Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels, demonstrating India’s growing prowess in expeditionary warfare.
In addition to large-scale kinetic manoeuvres, the exercise will integrate Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber Operations, establishing a robust digital battle network. Indian Navy carrier strike operations, conducted in synergy with IAF shore-based air assets, will serve as the highlight, reflecting the deepened interoperability of India’s air-sea power projection.
Crucially, Trishul will underscore the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision by fielding a wide array of indigenous platforms, sensors, and weapon systems, reaffirming India’s capability to conduct modern warfare using homegrown technologies.
Through Exercise Trishul (TSE-2025), the Indian Armed Forces will demonstrate not only their technological edge and operational synergy but also their unwavering resolve to safeguard India’s sovereignty and strategic interests through a seamless, integrated, and self-reliant defence posture.
