A panel of four experts batted for diversification, thinking out-of-the-box, value-added services, and cost reduction without compromising quality for sustaining business amidst the ongoing pandemic.
They were speaking at an event orgainsed by the Enterprising Indian for various vendors and service providers and the corporates recently in Ahmedabad.
One of the panelists, Amrut Naik, president, and head—emerging markets business for pharmaceutical company Zydus Cadila, advocated the vendors to change the pandemic-induced adversities into opportunities for sustaining the business. His mantra for success was diversification, thinking out-of-the-box, value-added services, and cost reduction without compromising the quality.
Naik further said one should judiciously use the technology to reach out to the customers and improve the business. Quoting the pharma industry’s experience, he said the medical representatives, the vital link between the medical practitioners and the companies have adopted the new normal situation. They constantly stay connected with the doctors through various digital media to keep the business going without leaving their homes.
Further, pharma companies have forayed into making PPE kits, ventilators, sanitisers et al during this pandemic period. His thoughts were echoed by other panelists.
Bhavesh Upadhyay, founder of Enterprising Indian, said, “At a time when the opportunities economic growth in the business and industry are bright, about 30-35 percent of domestic and foreign industries are keen to set up their ventures in Gujarat. He shared this to help and solve the problems of 35 vendors and 70 companies. In this meet, he set a target of solving 100 problems of the company and vendors. As well as giving information to company-vendors as well as service providers on how to easily grow the business by reducing the cost. This session was informative for the companies which are currently under pressure to grow by cost cutting.
