With a view to augment the export of AYUSH products, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad, successfully organized a one-day International Conference on AYUSHGLOBE 2025. The conference was funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) under its Special Call on Vision Viksit Bharat 2047.
The conference was inaugurated with a distinguished ceremony graced by eminent dignitaries, including Prof. P.K. Jain, Director General of IITRAM; VD. Jayeshkumar M. Parmar, Director, Office of the Director, AYUSH, Government of Gujarat; Dr. Rajan Sudesh Ratna, Deputy Head and Senior Economic Affairs Officer at UNESCAP; and Prof. Vijaya Katti from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi.
Following the inaugural session, a panel discussion was conducted on the theme “Issues and Challenges of AYUSH Export from India.” The panel featured key experts and industry leaders, including Dr. Joban Modha, Deputy Director, Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (ITRA), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of AYUSH, Jamnagar; Dr. Priyanka Shah, Technical Officer, Ayurveda, Government of Gujarat; Dr. Anand Mehta, Technical Officer, Ayurveda, Government of Gujarat; Mr. Himanshu Vyas, CMD, Ayurnet Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. Darshit Joshi, CEO, PHARMADOCS LLC.
The conference served as a vital platform for academic scholars, industry professionals, and policymakers to deliberate on strategies for expanding India’s AYUSH sector in the global marketplace. The discussions highlighted regulatory challenges, market opportunities, and the role of innovation in enhancing India’s traditional healthcare systems’ international presence.
