Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest forms of holistic medicine and is still widely used today. Combining physical, psychological, and spiritual health, Ayurveda focuses on whole-body healing and states that a person’s dosha determines their personality and health.
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Nandita Munshaw, Chairperson FICCI FLO Ahmedabad chapter said, “In the age of chemically harmful products, there is a need to shift to natural products. To create awareness on this, FICCI FLO Ahmedabad chapter is organising ‘Beauty From Inside out’, a virtual session. Senior Ayurvedic experts from Forest Essentials, a traditional skincare brand, Dr. Shweta Netke and Dr. Taruna Yadav talked about the three types of doshas and Holistic Beauty.”
Dr. Taruna Yadav talked about the five factors that are essential for Holistic Beauty which help in understanding ones uniqueness, balancing life, understanding daily rituals (dincharya), staying close to nature, and using the right skincare products made with natural ingredients. “Essentially, Holistic beauty is an all-encompassing approach to a healthy body, mind, and soul which will ultimately result in healthier radiant skin,” she added.
Dr. Shweta taught DIY (do it yourself) on mixing rice flour, ubtan and toner/rose water and making a fine paste. “Apply this paste on your face and neck to exfoliate and cleanse your skin. It’s a skin care ritual to follow in morning and evening that will affect your roopam which is outer beauty,” Dr Shweta added.
