A batch of 45000 medical masks and 2200 Coveralls were dispatched by Ordnance Clothing Factory (OCF), Avadi in Chennai on Thursday.
The safety equipment for Frontline Warriors was sent to HLL Life Care. The OCF under the Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) undrer the Ministry of Defence has been entrusted with the task of manufacturing Personal Protection Equipments (PPEs) such as Coveralls, Surgical Masks and Non-surgical Masks by Government of India amid COVID-19 spread, says a release.
Ordnance Clothing Factory, Avadi had received order for supplying of 30,000 Coveralls and Four lakh Surgical Masks from HLL Lifecare through Government of India.
The PPEs produced with the inspiring leadership of Hari Mohan, DGOF and Chairman/OFB & Shri Surjit Das, General Manager/OCF, OCF has dispatched 77500 surgical masks and 6000 coveralls to HLL Lifecare earlier.
OCF has developed coverall and surgical masks in a short span of time and the same was tested at SITRA, Coimbatore as part of quality checks.
The factory has further increased its capacity by continual improvement in production process to produce 3,000 coverall per week. OCFAV is also supplying non-medical masks to Civil Authorities such as Local Administration, TN Police, CRPF, Railways, Banks, Post Office and other allied Establishments of both Central and State Governments.
