Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will visit Tamil Nadu for two days commencing Sunday, says a Finance Ministry statement.
On Sunday, she will be taking part in the Centenary year celebrations of TamilNadu Mercantile Bank at 10:15 am in Thoothukudi. At 12:30 pm, she will take part in the 100th death anniversary of Maha Kavi Subramania Bharathi as part of ‘Azaad Ki Amrut Mahotsav’ at Bharathiar Mani Mandapam in Ettayapuram.
Later in the evening at 4 pm, she will take part in a public outreach programme on financial inclusion of the aspirational district of Virudhunagar which will be followed by a media interaction at 6:15 pm, both in Virudhunagar.
On day two of her tour on Monday, she will interact with industry leaders of the CII at 10 am and later with FICCI at noon, both in Chennai in two different venues, the statement added.
