Ford India on Monday announced the launch of the EcoSport BS6 range for a starting price of Rs 8.04 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The BS6 variants are up to Rs 13,000 more expensive than their BS4 counterparts. Ford EcoSport competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon in the compact SUV segment.
Ford EcoSport is now available with a couple of BS6 engine options. There is a 3-cylinder, 1.5-litre, Ti-VCT petrol motor that delivers 122 PS and 149 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with an option for a 6-speed automatic transmission. Also, the present is a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel powertrain that generates 100 PS power and 215 Nm of torque and is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The EcoSport is one feature-loaded compact SUV and gets HID headlamps with LED DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, roof rails, dual-tone roof, 16-inch alloy wheels and electric sunroof, among others. You will find features like premium leather seats, multi-function steering wheel, automatic AC, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, push-button start and cruise control inside the cabin of the EcoSport.
The safety features like ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, driver and co-driver seatbelt reminder, crash unlock, speed-sensing auto door lock, rear parking sensors and high-speed alert system are standard across all the variants of Ford EcoSport.
Available with Ford EcoSport is a standard 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty. The service intervals for the compact SUV is 10,000 km. Below is the variant-wise price details of the EcoSport BS6.
