A three-day exhibition focussing on “Partition Horror Remembrance Day” was inaugurated by Freedom Fighter Kantibhai Ambalal Yagnik along with Babubhai Jamnadas Patel, MLA at Auto Care Centre, Bodakdev here on Friday.
Kantibhai Ambalal shared with the audience about how harrowing the whole experience was and the courage and grit shown by people at that time. He emphasized upon how important it is to value the concept of Independence Day whilst keeping in mind the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to bring forth a free country.
The exhibition is being organized by the State-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
AMC Standing Committee Chairman Hiteshbhai Barot, Ashishbhai Patel- Councillor, Jodhpur Ward and Devangbhai Dani – Councillor, Bodakdev Ward were also present at the inauguration event.
Besides Swapnil Atarde, DGM, HPCL, AHRO; Senior Managers Ashish Varma, Sumit Gupta, Rajendra Gopwani; and Sidhharth Gope from HPCL, including the dealers, were also present.
Swapnil Atarde along with distinguished guests felicitated Freedom Fighter Kantibhai Ambalal by handing over a Charkha – symbol of self-sufficiency and freedom – to him, also reiterating the significance of this free era we are fortunate to experience today.
The exhibition will be showcased till Sunday, 14th August, 2022 keeping in mind that the message percolates in the minds of youth so as to inculcate the feeling of belongingness to their motherland.
