Marking National Fire Week with purpose and intensity, GSFC University organised a comprehensive awareness and preparedness programme, blending education, tribute and hands-on training to strengthen fire safety consciousness across campus.

The initiative, driven by students of the B.Tech Fire & Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programme, showcased how knowledge, awareness and coordinated action can significantly reduce fire-related risks.

Learning by Doing: Awareness Meets Action

One of the standout highlights was an informative skit performed by students, creatively illustrating practical measures to prevent fire hazards in household kitchens—among the most common sources of accidental fires.

The initiative aimed to translate classroom knowledge into real-world awareness, making safety practices relatable and actionable for the wider community.

A Tribute to Courage Beyond Duty

In a deeply moving segment, students paid homage to firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty, reflecting the spirit of sacrifice and courage that defines the profession.

The tribute served as a reminder that fire safety is not just a protocol—but a responsibility shaped by real human cost.

FirePlex Drill: Simulating Real Emergencies

The observance featured a live fire drill at the Centre of Excellence in Fire & EHS—‘FirePlex / Agni Sankul’, offering participants a first-hand experience of emergency response protocols.

A relay-based simulation further reinforced the importance of teamwork, coordination and quick decision-making during fire emergencies.

Industry Connect Strengthens Safety Culture

The event was attended by prominent experts and industry leaders, including Amit Kumar Chaudhary, Vishnu Mishra, Vishnu Patel, Madhur Saxena and Kalpesh Makwana, whose presence added depth and industry relevance to the programme.

Their participation underscored the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in fostering a robust safety ecosystem.

Beyond Classrooms: Building Responsible Citizens

Reaffirming its commitment to holistic education, GSFC University emphasised that safety awareness and emergency preparedness are integral to modern professional training.

By integrating practical exposure with academic learning, the institution continues to nurture individuals who are not only skilled but also socially responsible and crisis-ready.
