In a meaningful step towards nurturing emotionally resilient and self-aware youth, the Rotary Club of Bhavnagar Vibrant conducted a thoughtfully curated session on Emotional Intelligence (EI) for around 80 girl students at Gyanmanjari Innovative University on February 10.

The engaging morning session was led by Charmee Goswami, Emotional Intelligence Coach, who created a safe and interactive space for students to explore the art of understanding, managing, and nurturing emotions in everyday life. Using relatable real-life examples, reflective exercises, and practical techniques, she demonstrated how emotional awareness directly influences personal growth, confident decision-making, healthy relationships, and overall mental well-being.
Empowering Young Minds Beyond Academics
The workshop moved beyond textbook learning, encouraging students to reflect on their emotional responses and build tools to handle stress, peer pressure, and life transitions with confidence and maturity. Participants actively shared experiences and engaged in discussions that made the session both impactful and deeply personal.
Speaking on the initiative, Namrita Chadha, President, Rotary Club of Bhavnagar Vibrant, said, “Today’s students face academic pressure along with emotional and social challenges. Through such sessions, Rotary aims to equip young women with emotional intelligence that empowers them not just in classrooms, but in life. Confidence, empathy, and self-awareness are the real success skills.”
Building Emotional Strength for Life

Highlighting the importance of EI in a fast-changing world, Charmee Goswami, Emotional Intelligence Coach, said, “Emotional intelligence is not about suppressing emotions but understanding them and responding consciously. When young girls learn to recognise their emotions early, they develop resilience, clarity, and inner strength that stays with them for life.”

Rotary’s Commitment to Youth Well-Being
Secretary Sunita Shah and Club Board Member Ami Shah were present during the session and extended their encouragement and support to the students. The initiative reaffirmed Rotary Club of Bhavnagar Vibrant’s commitment to youth development, mental well-being, and value-based education.
The session was warmly received by the participants and proved to be an enriching experience, leaving the students inspired, emotionally empowered, and better prepared to face challenges with confidence, empathy, and maturity.
