Chennai-based Gleneagles Global Health City (GGHC) have launched its Advanced Heart & Lung Transplant, VATS & Robotic Surgery Clinic, and the Liver Transplant, HBP and Robotic Surgery Clinic at Anna Nagar here on Friday. The Daycare clinic is in association with Dr Heart Healthcare will offer Robotic Surgery. This would be the second-day care Clinic that Gleneagles Global Health City has opened in the city in the recent past. The first clinic was launched in Adyar, Chennai.

The Heart & Lung Transplant clinic was inaugurated by MK Mohan, MLA, Anna Nagar and B Ranganathan, Chairman, Tamil Nadu Warehouse Corporation. The facility has Liver Transplant, HBP, and Robotic Surgery Clinic. Gleneagles Global will have their doctors consulting at the Clinic, screening patients and sensitizing the community at large.
“We are very pleased to announce this association with Dr Heart Healthcare. The Daycare clinic will cater to the thousands of residents within a radius of 5 to 7 kilometers. Critical organs like the Heart, Lungs, and Liver can be transplanted if it is carefully harvested and on time. Our daycare clinic will ensure we save lives on time, every time,” said Dr Alok Khullar, Chief Executive Officer, Gleneagles Global Health City.
Replying to a query, Baskar Reddy, VP, Corporation Communication of GGHC said that in future, this clinic would be expanded as fullfledged hospital to undertake all major surgeries here.
“With the launch of the Anna Nagar clinic for Heart, Lung and Liver transplants, thousands of sick patients in and around Anna Nagar. Also, patients who have undergone surgery at the main hospital need not travel for their post-surgery reviews as we now have a presence in this part of town,” said Dr. Govini Balasubramanian, Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Gleneagles Global Health City
“Robotic surgery is a cutting-edge technology that enables surgeons to perform complex procedures with enhanced precision and minimal invasiveness in liver transplants and HBP surgeries. “It is due to the lack of awareness that we have patients coming to us at the last stage. Many diseases are preventable, curable, and manageable if caught early. All that one has to do is go for a regular medical health checkup.
