Ingersoll Rand (India) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand Inc., a global leader in mission-critical flow creation and life science solutions, has announced the inauguration of its state-of-the-art ₹170-crore manufacturing facility at Sanand, Gujarat on Tuesday. The expansion underlines the company’s strong confidence in India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, Gujarat’s pro-industry policies, and its vision to make India a global manufacturing hub.

The new Sanand facility, one of Ingersoll Rand’s most significant investments in the country, is designed to scale production by 1.5x by 2028 and double it by 2030, aligning with global sustainability and innovation benchmarks. It will begin operations by the fourth quarter of FY2025.

He further acknowledged the Government of Gujarat’s proactive support in facilitating the smooth execution of the project and commended the region’s thriving industrial ecosystem.
A Smart, Sustainable Manufacturing Ecosystem
Spanning 65,856 sq. m with a built-up area of 24,527 sq. m, the Sanand facility is built to operate on 100% green power and targets net-zero emissions within five years. It features IoT-enabled monitoring, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and digital tools such as System Performance Manager powered by Ecoplant and Helix for intelligent, connected manufacturing.
The facility will produce centrifugal compressors, refrigeration dryers, gas compressors, reciprocating compressors, and nitrogen generators for industries including pharmaceuticals, electronics, defense, automotive, and power.

Beyond manufacturing, Ingersoll Rand’s Sanand facility will catalyze local employment and supply chain growth, creating direct and indirect opportunities for engineers, technicians, and service providers. The company is also investing in skill development programs to strengthen India’s industrial workforce and foster innovation.
