With an aim to provide skill and employment-oriented education to its students, GLS University, the Pioneering University in the State of Gujarat, signed an MoU with The Financial Planning Standards Board India (FPSB India), the leading financial planning body, here on Friday.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Sudhir Nanavati, President, GLS University and Krishan Mishra, CEO, FPSB India. Teena Rawal, Head of Strategic alliance, FPSB India was also present on this occasion.

Marching firmly on the path towards the academic excellence, GLS University entered yet another academic collaboration with an aim of strengthening further its knowledge environment.

FPSB India is the leading financial planning body in India and is dedicated to establishing, upholding and promoting professional standards in financial planning throughout India.

The two academic institutes agreed to provide mutual support for creating and designing innovative and industry ready courses in the fields of  Commerce and Finance,  to establish and service accounting and finance education, grow skills and deliver through their mutual areas of expertise,  to exchange information and expertise in order to support the development of financial planning expertise amongst the students of the institution and the wider profession as appropriate and to promote and facilitate quality research.

Commenting on this, Dr Sudhir Nanavati, President, GLS University expressing his views on this collaboration said, “This MoU will establish closer working linkages between GLS University and The Financial Planning Standards Board India (FPSB India) as it will enable the two to draw synergies from the professional expertise available with each other in areas of education, teaching and research. The MoU will provide skill and employment-oriented education to students”.

Krishan Mishra, CEO, FPSB India, said “This MoU signifies a pivotal milestone in our mission to elevate the standards of the profession. By offering certification to GLS University students, we equip them with essential skills for success in the ever-evolving landscape of financial services”.

Dr. Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director, GLS University confirmed that this MOU will serve as a win-win situation for both faculty members as well as student fraternity to gain industry interface as well as enhancement of skill development.
