GLS University president Sudhir Nanavati on Monday exhorted the students to apply the knowledge and skills they acquired during their studies to their future endeavours. He also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in an ever-changing world, urging the graduates to remain curious and open to new opportunities.
Sudhir Nanavati was delivering an inspiring address to the graduating students of the GLS-UTS College at the 1st convocation ceremony. Twenty-two students were awarded diplomas in Business and IT. This distinctive program is a collaborative effort between GLS University, Ahmedabad, and the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.
Last year, GLS University made history by launching India’s foremost Transnational Education (TNE) Programme, showcasing its commitment to excellence in global education. This program offers students a transformative educational journey, beginning with one year of study in India, followed by two years in Australia’s vibrant academic environment.
In the previous academic year, a cohort of 25 students embarked on this transformative journey. To support their success, GLS University organized in-house IELTS and PTE preparation sessions, resulting in an impressive 95% success rate, underscoring the university’s dedication to academic excellence.
Dr. Chandni Kapadia, Executive Director of GLS University, expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments and optimism for their future endeavors. She encouraged them to carry forward the values and lessons learned at GLS University as they embark on their professional journeys, contributing positively to society and making a meaningful impact on the world.
Peter Harris, Executive Director of Future Students at UTS College, Australia, discussed the importance of global education and how it prepares students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. He also spoke about the future prospects for graduates, encouraging them to remain lifelong learners and to continuously seek out new opportunities for growth and development. Harris highlighted the resources and support systems available at UTS College for alumni, emphasizing the importance of staying connected with their alma mater and leveraging the global network of UTS graduates.

Peter Murray, Head of International Student Recruitment at UTS, Australia, acknowledged the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that each student had demonstrated to reach this milestone. Murray also touched on the significance of the collaboration between UTS and GLS University.
