Godrej Interio from the leading business conglomerate of Godrej & Boyce is planning 30 per cent growth in sales during the upcoming festival season in Tamil Nadu, said Dr Dev Narayan Sarkar, Senior Vice President (B2C), Godrej Interio here on Wednesday.
Addressing reporters, Dev Narayan Sarkar, said, “Godrej Interio, a centurion brand, has a strong brand recall and significant customer base throughout the country. As the home furniture market in Tamil Nadu experiences a steady annual growth of over 15%, with a noticeable surge in demand for modular wardrobes, kitchens, and interiors standalone residences, we are poised to capitalize on these emerging trends and expand our market presence in the state. With the introduction of specialized home furniture and home storage solutions, we are committed to strengthening our footprint across Tamil Nadu in this fiscal. At present, we have 22% market share of the organized furniture sector in Tamil Nadu, and we intend to attain a 35% share within the next three years. We aim to generate revenue of around Rs 350 crores from Southern India by FY26 from Rs 200 crore’’ he added.
Godrej Interio is looking ahead, our ambitious goal for the next fiscal year involves a substantial growth of over 25% across all product categories, underscoring our dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction, he added.
Dev Sarkar further said, the company offers a more enhanced experience for its customers in Chennai and has launched a range of solid wood beds in Tamil Nadu market. The company has 5 per cent market share in solid wood business in Tamil Nadu.
“Presently, the contribution from the solid wood beds segment is only five per cent. We want it to grow to at least 15-20 per cent over the next one year.. we want to be a bigger player in this market” he said.
As consumer demand increases ahead of the festive season, Godrej Interio has strengthened its omnichannel presence, to ensure a greater accessibility and a seamless buying experience for its customers.
The brand has over 52 channel partners, 8 exclusive showrooms and 90 retailers in Tamil Nadu and cumulatively, they have 200+ channel partners across South India.
As the company has wide network of distributors, retailers across all geographies, the turnaround time of deliveries is at the quick possible time, even if one orders through e-commerce portals, Dev Sarkar said.
