Monica Wadhwa, Chairperson, Golden Katar Family Welfare Organisation on Monday inaugurated ‘Samriddhi’, a pioneer project on Women Empowerment.
The Project entails setting up of Training-cum-Production Centre under Project ‘Samarth’ of Ministry of Textiles. Wives of 30 serving soldiers will be trained over a period of two months on waving durries/rugs. Artisan Cards were made for these ladies and the same were distributed to the thirty trainees by Monica Wadhwa.
In her address, she appreciated the efforts of the Station and exhorted all participating ladies to avail benefits from this unique opportunity in developing and honing their skills as well as adding to the income of their family. The Pioneer Project of Women Empowerment, ‘Samriddhi’ at Military Station Dhrangadhra will go a long way in empowering the ladies.
