A mega Ex-servicemen Rally was organised by “Golden Katar Gunners” at Dharangadhra Military Station on Sunday. It was attended by 1,000 veterans, Veer Naris and widows of Surendranagar, Morbi, Patan districts aligned with its pledge for solidarity with the nation, says a Defence release.

The rally was addressed by several high ranking officers of the Army and civil administration. Veterans and Veer Naris were reassured that they shall always remain inseparable members of the Armed Forces fraternity and commitment towards their welfare and well being. The rally was organised in close co-ordination with the Zila Sainik Boards, Civil Administration and other civil agencies of various districts.
A number of stalls were setup to cater for various aspects of Ex-Servicemen, including Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Resettlement, Sainik Boards, Helpline Record Office, Army Placement Organisation, Suvigya and SPARSH Cell.
A fully equipped medical team with modern equipments alongside an ayurvedic clinic was also in place for a medical camp, wherein preliminary check up and distribution of medicines were carried out. It gave a platform to Ex-servicemen to express their concerns directly to the officials.
All the Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris appreciated this initiative of Golden Katar Gunners & expressed their gratitude to the Army for addressing their grievances.
