The union government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking various steps to create a new India, this cannot be possible with the involvement of the youth, said the Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju here on Friday.
Delivering the second convocation address at the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development , the minister said youth population in India contribute to 20% of world population which shows how much energy we have in our country.
While appreciating the students and parents on this occasion, the Minister elaborated about the changes happened in the education. During last several years, the country has witnessed huge difference in education. Technology has greatly changed the education, not only the learning methodology but the teaching methodology too, he said While talking about the several schemes introduced by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Minister said that there are several initiatives taken by the Government for creating New India, which is not possible without the involvement of youngsters and educational institutions like RGNIYD. He said that education institutions play an important role in implementing government schemes for the development of nation The only institute in India which deals with the youth affairs and youth development is RGNIYD and this institute is of national importance, the Minister added.
