He appealed the professionals in the USA to work collectively to raise the flag of Indian chartered accountants, build up the credibility of our work, and make sure the integrity that defines our profession is maintained.

With the launch of the new offices in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, New England Region, and Washington DC, the ICAI has a presence in seven major cities in the US, including New York and San Francisco, where it already has chapters.
The New York chapter was reactivated on that day, said Vish Arunachalam, founder chairman of the San Francisco chapter.
With this, the US has become the largest number of overseas offices of the institute.
The main aim is to bring a major part of the around 3,000 and more CAs from India in the US together, said Geetha Ramakrishnan, current chairman of the SF chapter.
Atul Kumar Gupta, President of ICAI, said that the institute is opening representative offices in the jurisdiction where currently the overseas Chapters cannot be formed. The objective of setting up the representative office is to have a nodal point of ICAI in that jurisdiction and work towards the formation of a Chapter, over a period of time.
The ICAI has started forming representative offices in Ghana (Acra); Rwanda (Kigali); South Africa (Durban); Mauritius, Port Louis); South Africa (Johannesburg); Egypt (Cairo). ICAI is going to inaugurate its 36th chapter in Fujairah, UAE, and adding the fourth Chapter in the UAE.
ICAI has launched the concept of representative offices with a vision to have a presence in at least 100 locations globally under its Vision ICAI@2024 plan.
