Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel hoisted the flag and saluted the Tricolor in a patriotic atmosphere in Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, on the 79th Independence Day. On this occasion, Governor Acharya Devvrat, Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and various dignitaries were present.

The Chief Minister made special mention of the fact that the development journey that began sine the establishment of Gujarat as a separate state in 1960 has gained new direction, new energy and momentum in the 21st century under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
Wishing the citizens of the state on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, he announced that “The government is bringing ‘Agenda for 2035’ with the goal of ‘Prosperous State, Empowered Citizen’ to achieve new dimensions of all-round development and more people-oriented administration by the year 2035 , when Gujarat will complete 75 years of its establishment.”
He also added in his civic address on the occasion of Independence Day that this ‘Agenda 2035’ will serve as a guideline along with the approach of the Hall of Government to realize the vision of ‘Developed Gujarat 2047’ based on the goal of ‘Developed India 2047’ given by the Prime Minister.
The Chief Minister gave a broad role to this ‘Agenda 2035’ framework to cover aspects, including strengthening state-wide infrastructure facilities, empowering citizens socially and economically, creating an ecosystem for innovation-based development in the economic and educational sectors, and preparing the youth for the use of new emerging technologies.
The Chief Minister hoisted the flag along with the national anthem and parade by the police band in the presence of Governor Acharya Devvrat, Union Minister for Labour and Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Bhagwat Kathakar Sant Pujya Rameshbhai Ojha, MP Shri Rambhai Mokaria , MLA Shri Arjun Modhwadia and district office bearers.
Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and other dignitaries visited Kirti Mandir.
On this occasion, he also made important announcements about development in rural areas of the state and time-bound urban development planning from the courtyard of Porbandar.
Announcing the ‘Mukhyamantri Gramotthan Yojana’ for the well-planned development of villages along with cities, the Chief Minister said that the ‘Mukhyamantri Gramotthan Yojana’ worth Rs 100 crore has been brought to provide comprehensive development to the Gram Panchayats which are taluka headquarters and have not been merged with the Municipality, develop them on urban lines and create physical facilities.
The Chief Minister spoke about the plans to develop 12 ‘Garvi Gujarat High Speed Corridors’ , Deesa to Pipavav ‘Namo Shakti Expressway’ and Somnath Dwarka Expressway for the infrastructure development of the state.
The Chief Minister also presented the successes of the Chief Minister’s Nutritious Snack Scheme for security, safety , health and well-being in the state , and providing nutritious food to children.
At the end of the program, under ‘Ek Pad Maa Ke Naam 2.0’, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel , Union Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya , Rameshbhai Ojha planted trees in the premises of Madhvani College.
The state-level function of Independence Day was attended by Governor Acharya Devvrat, Union Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya , MP Rambhai Mokaria , District Panchayat President Parbatbhai Parmar, MLA Arjunbhai Modhwadia, Bhagavatacharya Rameshbhai Ojha, Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, Director General of Police Vikas Sahay, Additional Chief Secretary Sunayana Tomar, Additional Chief Secretary M.K. Das , Former Minister Babubhai Bokhiriya, Collector S.D. Dhanani, District Development Officer B.B. Chaudhary, Municipal Commissioner H.J. Prajapati, District Police Chief Bhagirathsinh Jadeja, leaders Chetnaben Tiwari, Sagar Modi. A large number of office-bearers, senior officials, esteemed citizens and students were present.

BSF celebrates Independence Day with vows for prosperous India

The event included a solemn pledge to enhance the nation’s prosperity across various domains.
Speaking to the media, Gujarat BSF Inspector General Abhishek Pathak highlighted the Prime Minister’s call for an ‘Aatmnirbhar’ and ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, ensuring the BSF’s dedicated contribution to this vision. Commendations were bestowed upon BSF jawans, with two Vir Chakras and 16 gallantry medals awarded for valor in Operation Sindoor, embodying the force’s commitment to national service.
