Gujarat Prajapati Samaj is celebrating its Centenary celebrations in a grand and befitting manner here on Sunday. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel will inaugurate the grand function in the presence of Pujya Gyan Vatsal Swami of BAPS Swaminarayan Sect, announced Keshavlal S Prajapati, president, GPS, here on Friday.
The celebrations will be organized at Shri Bhagawat Vidyapidh, Sola on SG Highway.
Speaking with the media, Gujarat Prajapati Samaj president Keshavlal S Prajapati said, “With the aim of creating social and educational awareness and strengthening the unity among Prajapati community of Gujarat, a grand convention will be held in Ahmedabad on Sunday. This convention will be inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel in the presence of Pujya Gyan Vatsal Swami of BAPS Swaminarayan Sect. To mark the centenary year celebrations, the organization has enthusiastically organized various programs such as social, educational, cultural, sports and women empowerment programs during the year-long celebrations. This convention will see the participation of all Prajapati Samaj sisters and brothers from every nook and corner of the Vibrant Gujarat State, which will draw the future course of action for the betterment of the community.”
Elaborating on the Samaj’s 100-year milestone, Gujarat Prajapati Samaj president Keshavlal S Prajapati said, “Gujarat Prajapati Samaj is one of the organizations in Gujarat that has withstood the time, and achieved the 100-year milestone in serving the community. This institution has a boys’ hostel with a capacity of 450 students. To commemorate this centenary year, a modern girls’ hostel for students is being constructed with an investment of Rs 35 crore. The hostel will accommodate 500 girls, and will house facilities like library, e-library, smart class, cafe area, gym etc. A medical room facility will also be made available with safety as top priority for them All facilities will be provided to the students at concessional rates.”
Director of the Samaj Institute Prof. Dr. Jayantibhai Prajapati, “This hostel is ideally located in the educational hub of Ahmedabad with excellent public transport facilities for easy and safer mobility. Therefore, this hostel will be an excellent place for girls to stay. The design of which has been prepared by the famous architect Harshadbhai K. Prajapati. It will be ready by next year and admissions will commence in the academic year 2026-27. Though the hostel is meant for girl students, working women will also be accommodated depending on the availability of rooms.”
Vijaybhai K. Prajapati, Dr. Vidhi N. Ojha, Varshaben Hareja, Arunaben Prajapati, Vasantbhai Prajapati gave detailed information about the organization and the conference. Also, Kantibhai Ojha (Surat), Deepakbhai Prajapati, Gangarambhai Prajapati, K.D. Prajapati, Vitthalbhai Prajapati were also present.
