AHMEDABAD, JULY 2
Gujarat reported 80 COVID-19 cases and 228 recoveries in the last 24 hours, while the period also saw two patients succumbing to the infection in Ahmedabad and Aravalli districts, an official said on Friday.

The tally in the state is 8,23,687 and the toll is 10,064, while the number of people who have been discharged stands at 8,10,979, which is 98.46 percent of the caseload, he said.
The state has 2,644 active cases, including 10 patients on ventilator, the official informed.
“Surat led with 18 new cases, followed by 15 in Ahmedabad city, five in Amreli etc,” he said.
A release said 2,62,11,578 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 so far in the state, including 2.48 lakh during the day.
Neighbouring Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu reported four cases and five recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 10,537 and recovery count to 10,491.
The Union Territory has seen four deaths so far, leaving it with 42 active cases.
