The coronavirus count in Gujarat rose to 22,067 on Thursday with the addition of 513 new cases in the last 24 hours, while the toll increased to 1,385 with the death of 38 more patients, 25 of them in Ahmedabad, the state health department said.

A health department release said 366 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries to 15,109 in the state.
The state has 5,573 active COVID-19 cases, of which 61 patients are on ventilators, it said.

Out of the 513 new cases, 330 were reported from Ahmedabad, which took the tally in the city to 15,635.
While Surat reported 86 new cases, 39 fresh infections were found in Vadodara, the department said.

The case tally has risen to 2,367 in Surat and to 1,434 in Vadodara.
Nineteen other districts also reported fresh cases out of which Gandhinagar recorded 11, Bharuch seven, Mehsana, and Anand five cases each.
Out of the 38 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, 25 were from Ahmedabad, four from Surat, while Anand, Aravalli, Bhavnagar, Banaskantha, Kheda, Morbi, Patan, Surendranagar and Valsad districts reported one death each.
Out of the 366 patients who were discharged, 231 were from various hospitals of Ahmedabad, while 72 were from Surat and 25 from Vadodara, the department said.

A hospital in Dehgam town of Gandhinagar district was issued a notice by the district administration after it was found the private medical facility was treating COVID-19 patients without the necessary permission from the authorities.
Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus patients rose to 15,635 in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat after 330 more people tested positive for the infection on Thursday, the state health department said.

With the death of 25 more people due to the virus, the tally of victims has now reached 1,117, it said.
In the last 24 hours, 231 patients were discharged from hospitals in the district after recovery, the department said.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Thursday said that it will provide real-time information to people regarding empty beds in the city-based hospitals.
“We have started providing real-time information to the people on which type of bed is empty in which hospitals of the city at present, so that patients can get admission in such hospitals,” Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dr Manish Kumar said.
The types of beds include the common bed, ICU beds, and ICU beds with ventilators, he said.
This information is being made available on the website of the Ahmedabad Hospital and Nursing Home Association (AHNA), Kumar added.
