The Gujarat government on Wednesay signed five memorandums of understandings (MoUs) for the proposed investment of Rs 1,095 crore in the State.

The official release said the MoUs will lead to creating nearly 1,230 employment opportunities in the State in the coming years.

The government said the MoUs signed on Wednesday are in packaging material production, plastic, textile, renewable sector projects, formulation and API, food processing plant of cooking oil, green tea, ready-to-eat Gujarati khichdi, desi Gir cow ghee, honey production, ready-to-cook products.
The Vibrant Gujarat Summit envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister have made the state a Gateway to Prosperity.

The government has not shared the details of the companies that signed the MoU or their proposed locations.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit which is scheduled to be held in January 2024.
The Government of Gujarat holds a MoU signing event every week in the capital. The MoUs have been signed so far in seven such events since July this year. The total proposed investment under these MoUs has been Rs. 13,536 crore, with the possible creation of employment opportunities worth 50,717, the statement added..
