Vendors and manufacturers from across Gujarat participated in large numbers at the Ahmedabad roadshow of the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, signalling strong industry interest ahead of the mega power-sector event scheduled from March 19 to 22, 2026, at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi.
The roadshow witnessed active participation from MSMEs, exporters, EPC contractors and component manufacturers, particularly from the electrical equipment, transmission hardware, cables, switchgear and renewable energy segments. The engagement underlined Gujarat’s growing importance as a manufacturing and export hub for India’s power sector.
At the conclusion of the roadshow, the leadership team of the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 held an extensive interactive session, addressing queries related to buyer–seller meets, exhibitions, conference participation and procurement pathways. Officials also guided participants on leveraging Government e-Marketplace (GeM) opportunities, understanding registration processes, complying with quality and safety standards, and navigating open and transparent tendering systems.
Sudhakaran Nair, Senior Deputy Director, EEPC India said, “Gujarat has consistently demonstrated strong manufacturing depth in electrical and power equipment. The Bharat Electricity Summit is structured to directly connect capable MSMEs with PSUs, utilities, EPC players and international buyers through a transparent and outcome-oriented platform.”

A senior representative associated with the Ministry of Power noted, “India’s power-sector transformation requires strong domestic manufacturing and technology partnerships. Gujarat’s vendors and exporters play a critical role in strengthening self-reliant electricity infrastructure across generation, transmission and distribution.”
Participants were also briefed on how GeM portal integration, quality certification and compliance readiness can significantly enhance MSME participation in public procurement, especially with power utilities and central PSUs.
The Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, a Ministry of Power and industry-led initiative coordinated by EEPC India, with joint support from POWERGRID (nodal agency), NTPC, PFC, REC and NHPC, is expected to feature 50+ high-level conference sessions, 300+ speakers, 1,000 delegates, 500+ exhibitors and over 25,000 visitors, making it one of the world’s largest electricity-sector platforms.
