In a spirited initiative to foster national unity and rural development, the NCC Cadets of Gujarat Battalion NCC have embarked on a transformative journey as part of the Vibrant Village Program. This initiative, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to imbue cadets with patriotism while promoting national integration through direct engagement with border village communities.
“The NCC Directorate Gujarat organised a ‘Vibrant Village Programmme (VVP)‘ on Friday, in the premises of the Mamana Anupam Pagar Kendra Shala, Mamana village in Suigam border area, which aims to change the lives of the people of border villages across the state and bring awareness among them. The VVP is designed to provide essential facilities in these areas, promote economic development and enhance the overall quality of life,” an NCC release said.

Lieutenant Colonel Priti Tiwari, Officiating CO, 35 Gujarat Battalion NCC welcomed the guests Dr Arvind Prajapati, SDM Suigam; SI Ishwar Singh, 137 BSF Bn and team; Praveen Danji, Tehsildar; Ummed Danji, Sarpanch; Dr Mahipal Singh Gadhvi, Managing Trustee, Mamana Anupam Pagar Kendra Shala, Mamana and School Principals. 250 NCC cadets and School students and local villagers were present in the program. Everyone took the program forward by praying to the God and lighting lamps.

During the programme, the NCC Cadets and Students enhanced the beauty of the programme by performing Dance, Speech, Songs and presenting a play titled ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and spread awareness among the people of the village.
SDM, Suigam, BSF SI and Sarpanch of Mamana Village in their address brought out the importance and objectives of the Vibrant Village program for the border areas and thanked NCC Directorate Gujarat for organising such an awareness programme.
Stationery was distributed among the NCC cadets and school children participating in the programme and they were encouraged.
Lieutenant Colonel Priti Tiwari, Offg CO, 35 Gujarat Battalion NCC, Palanpur and Subedar Major Sudheesh K honoured the guests by presenting mementos and thanked all the present guests, Principals of the School and students for successful conduct of the programme.
