IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization, is spread across the globe with an aim to impart a 360 degree development to all the members. Keeping the same scope as a motto, the organization started with student branches to leverage and escalate the horizons of technological innovations and advancements..
The world has IEEE embarked on it with R10 (Region 10) being termed as Region Asia Pacific. R10 includes all the 48 countries of Asia along with Australia, New Zealand and their neighbouring countries. With more than 1,644 student branches, it is one of the most renowned regions across the globe.
Commenting on this feat, Dr Satvik Khara said, “Silver Oak University IEEE Student Branch has brought pride to the state of Gujarat and the nation by achieving the topmost international recognition of Outstanding Student Branch Award, at International Sparklers Summit 2021, in region R10, competing with all 1,644 other student branches spreading across not only India but countries like Japan, China, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and many more. It has been a journey of 4 years since its inception in 2017, which started with few student members, and is now the most vibrant and dynamic branch not only in the state but in Region R10. The reason for this phenomenal success is support from the Management of Silver Oak University, efforts and guidance by the faculty members, and teamwork, dedication, and perseverance of all the members associated with the Student Branch over these 4 years.”
Prof Mayuresh Kulkarni added that “Silver Oak University IEEE SB is the front-runner program under the Department of Computer Engineering of Silver Oak College of Engineering and Technology which always works towards the betterment of the student through initiatives like CyberSec Club, App Development SIG, MEDHA – Machine Learning Club, and many more.”
The Management of Silver Oak University congratulates the team and every student involved all these years with the student branch for such phenomenal success in such a small span of time.
