Covid has turned the entire system of the world as contactless, health is not an exemption. Innovation born out of problems faced by the humanity, thanks to corona pandemic which taught us many lessons, including hygiene and cleanliness right from handshake to say ‘Vanakkam’ with folded hands.
Following the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission (Make in India), the AI-based contactless vitals monitoring technology for enhanced patient safety was born out of 7 years of intense research by the Bengaluru-based Gaurav Parchani, CEO & Co-founder of Dozee.

The technology was officially launched during 2022, when the pandemic was slowly vanishing in India. Since then, the system was adopted by over 400 hospitals, including Government Medical College Hospitals in Tamilnadu, said Gaurav Parchani.
Announcing the Vijaya Hospital’s adoption of this technology on Tuesday, Gaurav Parchani said that Dozee, India’s first AI-based contactless Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) & Early Warning System (EWS), allows doctors and healthcare professionals to monitor patients remotely, Dozee’s solution will improve patient safety and care at the hospital. One of the largest centers in South India equipped with technologically advanced solutions, Vijaya Hospital has been at the forefront of the digital revolution that is transforming the current healthcare ecosystem in the country.
Dozee uses AI-powered Ballistocardiography (BCG) for contactless vitals monitoring. Dozee’s technology is patented and made in India, and it has been clinically proven to be 98.4% accurate. Continuous vital monitoring significantly impacts patient safety, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency. Research done by independent consulting firm Sattva shows that for every ~100 Dozee connected beds, it can save ~144 lives and ~80% of the time taken for vitals by nurses and reduce ICU Average Length Of Stay (ALOS) by ~1.3 days.
Dozee enables healthcare workers to remotely monitor patient vitals such as respiration rate, heart rate, SPO2 levels, blood pressure, and temperature while keeping track of their sleeping patterns. Its early warning system can immediately alert nurses and doctors if a patient’s condition starts becoming critical, allowing for timely interventions. It also saves the daily hours that nurses spend on manual routine check-ups of patient vitals and rather provides additional time for the nurses for more bedside patient care.
Gaurav Parchani further said, “We are delighted to partner with the Vijaya Hospital group – a forerunner institution renowned for its longstanding quality healthcare delivery. We work hand-in-hand with healthcare professionals to create an interconnected system that boosts patient safety, optimizes nursing efficiency, and offers superior clinical results. Thus, incorporating continuous monitoring systems and Early Warning Systems are vital pieces in the journey of quality healthcare for all.”
B Bharathi Reddy, Managing Trustee & CEO, Vijaya Medical & Educational Trust, said “We are always looking for ways to improve patient care and safety. Dozee’sAI-based Remote Patient Monitoring& Early Warning System will help us achieve this by providing continuous remote monitoring of patients and early warning of any deterioration in their condition. We are confident that this will help us improve clinical outcomes and provide our patients with the best possible care. Dozee’s adoption will transform the way patient care is delivered and we are excited to be at the forefront of this transformation.”
