Congress leader and former convener of the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS), Hardik Patel on Tuesday approached a city sessions court seeking anticipatory bail in connection with the FIR registered by Vastrapur police for violence at the GMDC ground on August 25, 2015 after Patel had addressed a mammoth Patidar rally.
After non-bailable warrants were issued against him and he was arrested in three different cases for bail condition violation on the state government’s applications, Patel has urged the court to grant him legal protection against charges of unlawful assembly, rioting, deterring cops from performing their duty and causing damage to property.
