Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare, in collaboration with Ganpat University, has launched a state-of-the-art Mobile Medical Service Unit in Mehsana, aimed at extending accessible and affordable healthcare to underserved rural populations across Gujarat. The initiative was flagged off by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, reaffirming the state’s vision of inclusive and compassionate healthcare for all.

The 66th Mobile Medical Unit under the Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services (AVMMS) programme is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, IoT-enabled data systems, and AI-powered health monitoring. It is designed to reach thousands across rural farming communities and corporate workforce clusters, providing essential medical consultation, diagnostics, and medicines at their doorsteps.
The modern facility includes a patient waiting area and registration desk, a vital data collection point, a mini lab with refrigerated storage, secure medicine dispensing, a general consultation room, and space for health education and awareness sessions. An expandable awning provides shaded space for outreach activities in the field.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said, “I congratulate Ganpat University and Aster DM Healthcare for this thoughtful initiative. The Mobile Medical Unit will take modern medical services to rural communities, furthering Gujarat’s vision of accessible, affordable, and compassionate healthcare for all.”

The Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services (AVMMS) programme is a pioneering CSR initiative that bridges healthcare accessibility gaps through free medical camps, community screening drives, and disaster relief support. Since inception, AVMMS has served over 2.5 million individuals across India, the Middle East, and Africa, and now operates a global fleet of 66 mobile units, including deployments across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, and other states.
