PUNE, NOV 25

Apollo Hospitals, Asia’s leading integrated healthcare provider, today unveiled its new quaternary care hospital in Swargate, Pune, marking its third facility in Maharashtra. The hospital opens in phases with 250 beds, scaling up to its full 400-bed capacity as demand grows across Pune and Western India.

“Inspired by the ‘Heal in India – Heal by India’ vision, Apollo is creating a global destination where clinical excellence meets compassion and affordability. We want health and happiness in every home of Pune and India,” said Dr Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group.

A Strategic Expansion for a Fast-Growing Health Ecosystem

Calling Pune a rapidly advancing healthcare market, Dr Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, said the new hospital builds on Apollo’s legacy of four decades: “This facility is a testament to our enduring commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care and relentless innovation—honouring the trust placed in us by generations of patients.”

Dr Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director, added that Pune represents a pivotal location in Apollo’s national roadmap:

“We are excited to expand access to high-end quaternary care, collaborate with Pune’s formidable clinical talent, and bring Apollo’s integrated health ecosystem to the region. This hospital strengthens our future-ready network for Maharashtra.”

Emphasising Apollo’s patient-centric culture, Dr Madhu Sasidhar, Group CEO & President, said:

“Our Pune facility is built on safety science, evidence-based practice and compassionate care. As we grow, our commitment to transparent, high-quality outcomes remains unchanged.”

Positioning Pune as a hub of innovation, Dr Manisha Karmarkar, CEO, Apollo Hospitals Pune, said Apollo is proud to be part of the city’s rise:

“Our new facility reflects Apollo’s commitment to medical excellence and to supporting the growth of a city shaping India’s technological and economic future.”

A Regional Powerhouse for Robotics, Transplants, Oncology & Critical Care

Apollo Hospitals Pune is designed as a high-acuity, technology-enabled care centre, integrating:

  • Advanced robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi, Mako)
  • Precision oncology with digital PET-CT, LINAC radiotherapy
  • Specialist transplant programmes (heart, liver, kidney)
  • Comprehensive cardiovascular sciences
  • Integrated critical care with 100+ ICU beds
  • Level III neonatal & paediatric ICUs
  • Dedicated mother-and-child centre
  • Fully modular OTs for standardised surgical excellence

A unified digital backbone powers IoT-based monitoring, smart ICUs, telemedicine, mobile app access, and continuity of care from admission to recovery.

This multidisciplinary, protocol-driven approach positions Apollo Pune as a regional referral centre for complex cases, strengthening Western India’s advanced-care capacity and elevating Pune’s stature as a premier medical destination.

Benchmarking the Future of Care in Western India

With internationally trained specialists, advanced infrastructure, and Apollo’s trademark blend of technology, expertise and compassion, the new hospital aims to deliver consistent, transparent and world-class clinical outcomes—setting a new benchmark for healthcare delivery in the region.
