Former President APJ Abdul Kalam used to claim that the great challenge of transforming India can be achieved through youth which has got the power of ideas, ambition and ability. While interacting with the best brains of the world at the prestigious Wharton Business School, Philadelphia, America’s oldest institution, he said, “This resource of the youth is an important building block for transforming India into a developed nation.”
Our visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi also believes in the power of youth to transform the nation into a developed nation by 2047 and the fastest growing economic power by 2030.
Their dreams have come true in the Vibrant Gujarat’s economic and scientific capital – Ahmedabad which has contributed space scientist Vikram Sarabhai and now Abhijeet Satani, 26, an internationally recognised neuroscientist researching brain to computer interfaces (BCI) and holder of several patents to his credit. He was born and brought up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in a family of doctors.
Demonstrating his Cognitively Operated System (COS) to the media and medicos, Abhijeet, best-known for his invention – computer aided controlled prosthesis and Plant to human interface, said, “The COS marks a significant milestone in the realms of neuroscience, technology, education and healthcare. This pioneering system, also known as Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs), holds the potential to revolutionize the way we understand and interact with the human brain. Cognitively operated system is a mother patent invention.”
“Its ability to establish a direct line of communication between the brain and computers or gadgets presents unprecedented opportunities for early diagnosis and treatment of neurological illnesses. Through precise measurement and interpretation of brain neural data, the COS offers an objective evaluation of cognitive processes, contributing to improved patient care and potential therapies for conditions like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and so on. Am launching this in my hometown Ahmedabad,” Abhijeet added.
Delving into research and experiments revolving around the BCI and has been navigating through the architecture of the brain for more than a decade now, his interdisciplinary acumen complemented by the supervision of luminary scientists has seen him create numerous inventions that were previously thought to be possible only in fiction. Thanks to years of his research, Satani has been crowned with numerous accolades and patents in his name.
Abhijeet Satani’s journey in the field of neuroscience and radiology has led to the development of the Cognitively Operated System. This remarkable invention facilitates a direct interface between the brain and external devices, enabling the conversion of brain signals into actionable commands. By harnessing the intricate workings of neurons and electric signals within the brain, the COS offers an innovative solution to bridge gaps in human inefficiencies through technology.
Vallabhbhai Kakadiya, former Gujarat Minister and currently President of Ahmedabad Diamond Association Medical Trust, Kothiya Hospital & Kakadiya Hospital – was all praise for the young scientist and urged the youth to emulate him. This launching ceremony was organized by The Kothiya Hospital Trust, a reserach centre.
iCreate (International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology), India’s leading innovation-based start-up incubator, which was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Gujarat Technological University (GTU) have offered their lab facilities this acclaimed scientist.
