A high-level team of the Centre visited Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad for two days to review the preparations of the 12th Edition of DefExpo-2022, the flagship Defence exhibition of India is scheduled to be held at Gandhinagar from October 18-22, 2022 and is anticipated as the largest ever. The first three Business days will be followed by public days on 21 – 22 October 2022.

“The preparations for DefExpo-2022 are in full swing. Towards this, a high-level team from Ministry of Defence, New Delhi, headed by Anurag Bajpai, Joint Secretary, DIP along with Achal Malhotra, Director, DEO visited Gandhinagar on Thursday and Friday, from September 15-16, 2022 to review the preparations. A series of meetings and interactions were carried out with Gujarat Government officials, including Mamta Hirpara, MD, iNDEXTb. Anurag Bajpai later called on Rajkumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Industry, Government of Gujarat and briefed him on the heightened preparations towards DefExpo 2022 which is the first-ever exclusively for Indian companies in line with the clarion call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Aatmanirbharta,” a Defence release said.
This is the largest ever edition of the DefExpo & will be held at Helipad Exhibition Centre (HEC) and inaugural/ official functions and seminars will be held at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre (MMCEC). Ship visits for general public will be opened at Porbandar from October 18 to 22, 2022. In addition, Drone show will be held during the DefExpo. This is the first time that Drone show will be held both at Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.
