The HL Soccer League (HSL) organised by the HL College Alumni Association (HLCAA) will take place at the lush green heritage cricket ground of HL College of Commerce from February 18 to 20, says the organiser.
The five-a-side HL Soccer League will see the participation of more than 450 players, representing 48 teams from Ahmedabad, other places in Gujarat, and other states.
The cricket ground considered as the cradle of cricketers in Gujarat and has seen many legends in action over the years and will now see high-level soccer in action.
The teams will face off in more than 100 matches during the three-day tournament. The matches will be played in different categories such as Under-15, Under-18, and open category, and institution/corporate category. There are separate winners and prizes for all categories.

A carnival-like feel with fun and games, music, food joints and more will also add a lifestyle quotient to the tournament.
“The HL Soccer League is aimed at catering to the evolving choices of today’s youth and at fostering a community of passionate players. We have big plans for the league, and aim to see it become a premier five-a-side league and emerging as a national event in the next five years,” said Jainil Shah, Secretary, HLCAA.
Established in 1989, HL College Alumni Association represents over 7,000 alumni members and 2,000 current students. HLCAA organises more than 30 independent events in a year.
