A youth was on Wednesday detained in near the textile town Tirupur for making a hoax bomb threat call to the residence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami in Salem district on Wednesday.
According to police, the CM’s house received a call claiming that a bomb was planted there, early this morning.
Immediately, a bomb squad along with sniffer dogs carried out searches for nearly two hours, which proved that the call was a hoax, they said.
The call was traced to a youth, whose identity is yet to be revealed, in Tirupur and interrogation was on, the police added.
