HQ of South Western Air Command (SWAC) celebrated the International Day of Yoga on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with full enthusiasm, wherein all personnel and their families participated in the activities organised to commemorate the occasion.
The event started at 06:40 am with the screening of the live telecast of the motivational speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by the yoga session as per the common yoga protocol issued by the Ministry of Ayush.
The yoga session included prayer, various asanas and meditation and concluded with the yoga sankalp. The session was conducted by renowned yoga Guru Kanjibhai Solanki and Dr Kavita Kanjibhai Solanki of Gandhinagar. A quiz on yoga was also conducted for the participants at the end of the session.
Air Marshal Vikram Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, SWAC and Dr Arathi Singh, President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional) attended the session and interacted with the participants at the event. The AOC-in-C exhorted participants to include yoga in their everyday schedules, for overall health and well being.
