As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ Celebrations, the Indian Air Force is undertaking many meaningful and impactful community activities. A community outreach programme based on Clean India Mission (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan) was conducted by the Air Warriors at Gandhinagar. The aim of the activity was to spread the awareness of cleanliness amongst local population.
The team of Air Warriors assembled at the Village on Saturday morning and then carried out dedicated shramdaan in the village. The Air Warriors were divided into five groups to cover the entire village. A polythene removal drive was also conducted.
The accompanying Air Force medical personnel explained the importance of community sanitation and personal hygiene. The team also advised the villagers on ways to prevent mosquito borne disease. By observing the activity of the Air Warriors, the villagers also joined in an enthusiastic manner. The Sarpanch ChetanBhai and the villagers appreciated the efforts put in by the Air Warriors and assured that they will continue the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ in true letter and spirit.
