La Trobe University a multi-campus university in Victoria, Australia has honoured its First Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship to Sandeep Anumalasetti from Hyderabad, India. Sandeep is the recipient of the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship. He will commence his studies online in November 2020 and will move to Australia to study at La Trobe University’s Melbourne Campus as soon as the International borders open, says a university release.
Commenting on this, Vice-Chancellor & President, La Trobe University, Professor John Dewar AO, said that the recent pandemic – COVID-19 has impacted globally. In today’s time, international learning is a big choice, particularly when the future is still uncertain. At La Trobe, we have planned a range of scholarships to attract ambitious and high achieving students like Sandeep. The main aim of such significant Scholarships is to attract excellent students to study with La Trobe, Australia, and to positively contribute to our diverse student community.
Sandeep Anumalasetti, from Hyderabad, India and has been rewarded with the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship worth Rs 35 lacs [AUD 74400]. Since 2014, he has worked as a Scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), in roles ranging from Developing Software to controlling Spacecraft. Sandeep hopes to take his career even further by studying for Master of Information Technology at La Trobe.
On being rewarded this coveted Award-VC Excellence Scholarship, Sandeep said, “This Master’s Degree will open doors to New Skills and Create New Opportunities for me to explore. I am certain that the world-class Infrastructure, insightful Professors, and Innovative hubs at La Trobe will play a vital role in shaping my future. Also, I am also looking forward to life at La Trobe, as a Passionate Mentor, I can’t wait to help other students.”
La Trobe has taken many initiatives to support its students. These highly prestigious Scholarships are offered for every term and semester intake and are awarded to High-Achieving International Students.
With an upcoming term intake in November 2020, Students can start their La Trobe degree online now and join on campus once borders reopen.
