Gujarat MSME entrepreneurs ought not sit on the laurels that ‘business runs in their blood’ but keep pace with the global trade trends. With technological advancements making great strides in the contemporary world, it is highly imperative for organizations to equip their leaders with multiple skill sets and capabilities by constant knowledge upgradation. MSME entrepreneurs have to think out-of-the-box, expect the unexpected, take swift actions and implement ideas effectively to not just enhance the organizational growth but also the success of ‘Make in India’ initiative for nation’s growth, said Shyam Taneja, Founder, I Can I Will Foundation (ICIWF) here on Friday.
He was speaking at “Amrit Manthan”, an interactive session, held at Gandhinagar Gift City Club, to focus on personal and professional development of MSME entrepreneurs. More than 95 members participated in this session.
Kickstarting the session, Shyam Taneja, said, “Our vision at I Can I Will Foundation is to create an ‘I Can I Will World’, where individuals are empowered to achieve their full potential. I Lead is not just an organization. ; It is a “association” of leaders. We focus on building a strong network of support for each other in Learning, Evolving, Achieving and Developing (ILEAD). Our aim is to promote continuous and sustainable self-development among our members, which ultimately leads to a better India. ‘Amrit Manthan’ program besides highlighting the efforts of our organization will also inspire others to embark on their journey of personal and professional growth. Our Foundation believes in the power of community. By encouraging Foundation members to support each other in their learning, personal growth and achievement, they create an environment where everyone can thrive.”
When asked about the transformation brought about by the Foundation, Taneja said, “Havmor, the homegrown icecream brand, is the shining example of our Foundation’s contribution in value-addition to family run businesses. By joining hands with us, the company has made a great leap forward reaping rich dividend in the form of monetization. There are many such winners who continuously learn, evolve, achieve and develop.”
Answering a query on the impact of GST on MSMEs, Taneja replied that it was meant for nation-building and MEMEs have to pay it.
To another query on the closure of many MSMEs, the coaching expert said that MEMEs have failed to implement the nuances of doing business in the tech savvy world.
He said, “Such companies have to seek our help so that we can make them turnaround with proper training. Our Foundation functions with the sole objective of transforming the lives of millions of people in India with a vision of ‘I Can I Will World’ and a mission of ‘Make India’ to support the Make in India movement. Hence, we relentlessly help MSME entrepreneurs to become competent and make continuous & sustainable self-development.
