Director Pa Ranjith said that he had prevented many aspiring film buffs from entering cine filed. He was speaking at the audio launch of ‘Kuthiraivaal’ in Chennai on Tuesday.

“This film will be a trendsetter in Tamil film industry and fans will get novel experience. I was forced to make films that will raise many questions and answer my inner voice,”  Pa Ranjith said.

The film is produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions in association with Yaazhi Films. This will be the first Tamil film that is chosen and nominated for the international premiere at the Berlin Critics Film Festival.

Actor Kalaiyarasan is playing the lead role in ‘Kuthiraivaal, which  is all set to release in theatres on March 4.

Produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions in association with Yaazhi Films, the film is directed by Manoj Leonel Jahson and Shyam Sunder. The film has Anjali Patil playing the female lead.

Kuthiraivaal is a psychological drama written by Rajesh G.

Reportedly, the story of the movie was inspired from a novel written by Franz Kafka.

According to reports, the film is one of the few Tamil cinemas that is using the concept of magical realism. ‘Kuthiraivaal’ tells the story of a man who wakes up from his sleep to find that a horse tail is attached to him. Reportedly it will show how a man’s shadow follows him but with a horse tail.

Sowmya Jaganmurthy, Anand Sami and Chetan play pivotal roles in the film.

The music and background score of the movie is composed by Pradeep Kumar and Maarten Visser and the cinematography is handled by Karthik Muthukumar.
