The Indian Air Force has stepped up its flood relief and rescue operations in flood-hit Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra state on Saturday, says an IAF release
In continuation of flood relief, @IAF_MCC C-17 lifted 10T load & 100 personnel fm Kolkata to Pune & 20T load, 92 personnel of @NDRFHQ fm Baroda to Kohlapur by 5 x An-32✈

In continuation of flood relief efforts, an IAF C-17 airlifted 10T load & 100 personnel from Kolkata to Pune, and 20T load, including 92 personnel of NDRF from Vadodara in Gujarat to Kohlapur utilising 5 x AN-32 aircraft.

Two Mi-17 helicopters were utilised for aeriel recce of the affected area and for de-induction of an NDRF team from Ratnagiri to Mumbai. Another Mi-17 was utilised for survey of the affected areas by CM Maharashtra, Chief Secretary and other officials.
The IAF has also ensured that additional aircraft are available for deployment as and when required.
