NE EDUCTAION BUREAU
AHMEDABAD, APRIL 28
Aiming to help the high school (Std 10) and higher secondary students (Std 12) from all streams to understand the right career option as per ones’ interest and hobbies and make a concrete foundation for their life, the Ahmedabad Branch of the Western India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will host a free career counselling seminar on Sunday, May 1 – Gujarat Day.
The career counselling seminar will take place from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at Tagore Hall, Paldi, on Sunday.
The registration link for the seminar is https://tiny.cc/ICAI-Career-Counselling.
“Passing out of class 12 is an important milestone in the life of every student. It is also the time when students have to decide which field they want to pursue a career in. There are many options available, but many students are unable to decide “What After 12th?”. This is especially the case because of many new and emerging fields. The career counselling seminar is an attempt to inform students about the career options available to them, the opportunities in each field, and to guide them to make the right career choice,” said CA Bishan Shah, Chairperson of Ahmedabad Branch of ICAI.
The ICAI’s focus is to promote commerce education with a special focus on CA course, but experts at the seminar will also provide guidance about Engineering, MBA, Medical, Law, Civil Services, Sports, Artificial Intelligence, Architecture, Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Blockchain, International Education, Actuarial Science, Company Secretary, Cost Accountants, and many more traditional and new fields.
“We appeal to students to attend the career counselling seminar and benefit from the experience and wisdom of the expert speakers. The seminar is free and open for all students, but participants will be required to register to attend it,” said CA Purshottam Khandelwal- Vice Chairman of Career Counselling Committee of ICAI, New Delhi.
Khandelwal further mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s quote “Friends, chartered accountants are like ambassadors of any country’s economic system. Your work is like that of an interface between the government and the tax-paying companies and individuals. Your signature is more powerful than that of a prime minister. Your signature is a testimony to the trust in the truth. Companies may be small or big. However, if you certify their books of account, then the government believes in that, people of the country believe in that.”
This proves that the CAs play a vital role in nation-building and their demands is rising, Khandelwal added.
ICAI Ahmedabad Branch secretary CA Neerav Agarwal, treasurer Samir Chaudhary and vice chairperson Dr Anjali Nirav Chokshi were present at the press meet.
Among those present at the seminar will include CA Hans Raj Chugh, Chairman of ICAI’s Committee on Career Counselling, and other Committee members. Top officials of the ICAI Ahmedabad Branch will also be present at the seminar and guide students.
