The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced that it will extend all possible help to meritorious and needy children across the nation, irrespective of religion or caste, to pursue CA, said CA Ketan Saiya, Chairman of WIRC of ICAI here on Saturday.

“All such students have to do is to contact the nearest branch of ICAI who in turn will check their backgrounds, needs and take an informed decision. Neither the financial constraints nor any other reason will be the constraint for studying CA,” added CA Ketan Saiya.
Speaking with the media, CA Ketan Saiya said, “The ICAI has taken many reforms to make studying CA easier for students. Among them, this year a provision has been made to create a fund of Rs. 400 crore to help needy children study CA, which was earlier Rs. 100 crore. ICAI will spread awareness through career counselling programs in various districts of the country so that students who want to make a career in the profession of chartered accountants can get opportunities at home.”
CA Ketan Saiya, Chairman, WIRC, ICAI, further said that a proposal has been made to the government to simplify and reduce the rates of TDS deducted in various sections of Income Tax so that the common people face less hardship. It is worth mentioning here that in the current circumstances, TDS is deducted through 25 sections in different slabs of Income Tax, in which a proposal has been made to the government to make an effective reduction.
ICAI has planned to open its office in Gandhinagar’s GIFT City in the context of global economic trade. On July 10-11, more than 100 students studying for Chartered Accountants across the country will be visiting Gandhinagar GIFT City for a beautiful future planning. Through this visit, students studying for Chartered Accountants will be able to see the incredible industrial development of Gujarat, said CA Ketan Saiya.
ICAI has started a nationwide intensive awareness campaign on AI and AI certificate courses are also being conducted by ICAI branches across the country. CA Ketan Saiya, Chairman, WIRC, ICAI, also gave information about various programs undertaken by ICAI’s WIRC during the year 2025-26. These programs include making housewives aware of cyber fraud, providing all possible help to small entrepreneurs doing business under MSME, organizing seminars and investor talks for professionals involved in start ups, organising various account-oriented programs for the general public and small entrepreneurs. Bhairavi program for providing information on good touch and bad touch for girl students in schools, etc.
On this occasion, CA Nirav Agarwal, Chairman of ICAI’s Ahmedabad Branch, gave information about various programs conducted by the Ahmedabad Branch.
